Severus and the Green Stockings, part 1
I've had this mental image in mind ever since reading Anders Svartalfurinn's Polyjuice Pertinacity or the Auror and the Whore (one of my favorite Snarry fics):

"When Harry pushed open the door, he was met by a sight that took his breath away and made his knees weak. Severus Snape was lying on the bed, naked except for one silk stocking. The unstockinged leg high in the air, he was busy slipping the second stocking over his toes. Harry watched in awe as Severus smoothed the green silk over his high instep and adjusted the heel."

I've been wanting to take photos of this scene for ages and finally got some green stockings for it... For some reason I decided to give this one a Japanese print look (I think the rice paper screen in the background inspired that.

I was going for more of a Mary Cassat look here. If Mary Cassat had painted death eaters in lingerie...
These are both based on photos I took of an asian ball jointed doll ... still working on using photoshop to produce a naturalistic look.

I have some others in this series that I'll post later.

(other recent Snape photos here)

I know! That line in the fic sucked me right in too! I love that you've done this! I really like the windows in the first one, and the fact that Snape's head is almost completely hidden.

Mary Cassat would approve. :)

Thank you.
Maybe Miss Cassat would have liked to paint a broader slice of domestic scenes (how sad for her to live in the pre-HP slash era!)

She took enough flack for being a 'radical'. Somehow, I think painting men in drag might've driven them to lynch her...or as the case would've been, guillotine her. :)

They are intriguing pictures. Cross-dressing isn't one of my kinks at all, but I like looking at these pictures.

(Your link didn't work for me, so I deleted the / at the end, and it was fine.)

Cross-dressing isn't a particular kink of mine either, but there was something about Snape in stockings and a corset in this story that just got me.

Thanks for the heads up about the link -- I think I fixed it.

Mmmm these are lovely! I love the top one--it looks so textured and rich, but they're both fabulous!

Thank you :)
If I could create a miniature Oxford university office, Dreaming Spires would be next on my illustration list (hmmm ... I should get better at photoshop).

Well, I'm open to suggestions if you can think of scenes that would work well...

the first one is magical, you cant tell how it was done. is it a photo? a drawing? a print?

nice job. that is perhaps the best line from a terrific fic!

It is like a cross between those things ... it's a photo of a doll that I edited in Photoshop (I think I used a filter called "posterize" mainly, but I can't be 100% sure, because I was doing a lot of them... anyway one of the artistic filters).

That fic has so much great stuff (the dragons on the bottles! Ginny as JKR!)

WOW! These are amazing. I'm stunned. It's exactly like I pictured Snape when I wrote that scene. I'm totally thrilled that my story inspired such beautiful art!

I'm so glad you liked them :)
You are singularly responsible for the fact that I bought green doll stockings (of all things!) off ebay.

I have some more, but I need to edit them (also I want to take some with Harry in them). Let's see if I get ambitious enough to make a miniature bottle of "Dragon Inn Superior Finest Elfin Quality Since 1453" elf mead as a prop.

A miniature Dragon mead bottle? Wow, that would be all kinds of awesome. :)

I didn't even know it was possible to buy sexy green stockings for non-lifesize dolls. *g* You're amazing.

Not that I ever spend time I should be doing other things making props or anything...
I envisioned there being different kinds (similar to Chimay Blue and White etc., but with different colored dragons.

And of course it had to have a warning.

I'll work them into a Snape and Harry photoshoot some time... Feel free to take and use any of this stuff that is based off your work (I don't know if that goes without saying or not )

They're awesome. And the warning - LOL!

Allowing me to post your art is very generous of you. I'll add it to my story (with proper credit of course), if you don't mind, and pimp it at my journal once I've done so.

Thank you!

WOW, these are gorgeous! The art, the angles, the concept... and those green stockings!

And of course, all of this being Snape. What a slinky tart he makes. Like some others, I am not into cross-dressing, but I adore how you've done this! I think it's partly the pose: Snape comes across as matter-of-fact and focused simply on his work. Very focused. Very Snape.

Also? I love the strategically placed arm and in the first one, that rumpled duvet! Mmmmm... Harry would want to dive right in there and roll around in the sheets with him, I think.

*goes off to re-read story*

Oh! *pops back to add one thing*

I'm totally looking forward to more of your work - LOVE LOVE LOVE your using a doll for this - I am friending you instantly so as not to miss any of it! (Hope that's ok.)

Now to go see your other posts! Whee - Snape is *such* a doll!
